  1. Make the Most of that First Impression Outside curb appeal! First step...Clean up the yard!
    A well-manicured lawn, neatly trimmed shrubs and a clutter-free porch will welcome buyers!  So does a freshly painted – or at least freshly scrubbed – front door. If it’s autumn, rake the leaves. If it’s winter, shovel the walkways. The fewer obstacles between prospects and the true appeal of your home, the better.
  2. Clean -clean -clean....
    Clean up the living room, the bathroom, the kitchen and do not forget the ceiling fans!. If your woodwork is scuffed or the paint is fading, consider some minor redecoration.  If you do not have the time hire professional cleaners or painters to get your house ready.
  3. Check Faucets and Bulbs
    Dripping water rattles the nerves, discolors sinks, and suggests faulty or worn-out plumbing. Check for all Burned out bulbs or faulty wiring never  leave prospects in the dark. 
  4. Think Safety
    Homeowners learn to live with all kinds of self-set booby traps: roller skates on the stairs, extension cords, slippery entrance rugs, and shoes on the steps...Clear out the house of all little items and make the walk way clear. Pack it up and get it ready to ship to your new home!
  5. Make Room for Storage Space
    Potential buyers are looking for more than just comfortable living space, they are looking on how much storage they will have in the home. Organize your closets...Make sure your attic and basement are clean and free of unnecessary items. Pack it up!
  6. Make Your Bathroom Sparkle
    Bathrooms sell homes, so let them shine. Repair the tub and tile...Caulk it up! Display your best towels, mats, and shower curtains.
  7. Create Dream Master Bedroom
    Spruce up the Master Bedroom to be a palace! Get ride of all the extra furniture and keep it simple. Colorful bedspreads and fresh curtains are a must. Pull back the curtains and let the sun shine in!
  8. Lighten up at Night so the buyers can see the entrance!
    Turn on all your lights ON! - both inside and outside - when showing your home in the evening. Just that simple!
  9. Give the buyer privacy
    Potential buyers often feel like intruders when they enter a home filled with people. Rather than giving your house the attention it deserves, they're likely to hurry through. Allow the buyer and the agent to walk thru the home alone with out a crowd of people inside!
  10. Watch Your Pets
    Dogs and CATS  PETS....KEEP THEM outside, or at least out of the way.
  11. NO  LOUD CRAZY MUSIC!
    Loud crazy music might kill a real estate transaction. When it's time to show your home, it's time to turn down the stereo AND OFF With the TV!
  12. Keep a Low Profile-no long conversation -Let the buyer agent work !
    Nobody knows your home as well as you do. If you are in the home when there is a showing...step out or stay in the background. Let the agent show the home to the buyer...RE/MAX Realtors  know there buyers - what they need and what they want.
  13. Don't Turn Your Home into a Second-Hand Store
    When prospects come to view your home, don't distract them with offers to sell those furnishings you no longer need. You may lose the biggest sale of all.
